This Privacy Policy explains how operating under the name Wasd-Lab (“we”, “us”, or “our”), handles information relating to the Android game Pocket Aquarium, package identifier com.wasdlab.pocketaquarium(“the Game”).

1. Information handled by the Game
The Game runs locally on your device. It does not require an account and does not automatically collect or transmit personal information to us.
The current Android version contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, in-app purchases, or cloud synchronisation. It does not automatically send us gameplay activity, device identifiers, or crash reports.
The Game does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, or microphone.
2. Information stored on your device
The Game stores information locally so that you can save your progress and continue playing. This includes:
- Game progress, achievements, and simulation state.
- Your clinic’s name, appearance, and other customisation choices.
- Language, audio, control, and tutorial preferences.
- A previous save used for recovery.
The Game may read your device’s language setting to select a supported language. This information is processed locally and is not transmitted to us.
You do not need to provide your real name or other identifying information to play. Animals, staff, treatments, and clinical records within the Game are fictional game content.
We cannot access your locally stored saves unless you voluntarily send us a copy.
3. Backup import and export
You can export your saved game as JSON text and import a compatible backup through the Game’s options.
If you choose to copy a backup, the Game writes that backup to your device’s clipboard. Exporting or importing a backup does not upload it to us.
Any copies you save or share outside the Game are managed by you and by the applications or services you choose to use.
4. Information you voluntarily send us
If you contact us for assistance or with a privacy enquiry, we receive the information you provide. This may include your email address, name, message, and any screenshots, diagnostic details, or saved-game backups you attach.
We use this information to respond to your request, investigate reported problems, and provide assistance. Please include only information relevant to your request.
Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process this correspondence on the basis of our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and supporting the Game, or to comply with applicable legal obligations.
5. Sharing and third-party services
The Game does not automatically share your locally stored information with us or third parties. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Information you voluntarily send us may be processed by our email or support service provider as necessary to handle your request. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Google Play and Android may independently process information associated with app distribution, updates, diagnostics, or your use of their services. Their processing is governed by their own policies, including the Google Privacy Policy.
6. Retention and deletion
Your saved game and preferences remain on your device until you remove them. You can delete the Game’s local data through Android’s app settings by selecting Clear storage or Clear data, or by uninstalling the Game.
Deleting local data removes your progress and preferences. Copies of backups that you exported or shared must be deleted separately.
We retain support correspondence only for as long as necessary to handle your request and relevant follow-up, comply with legal obligations, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. We delete it when those purposes no longer require its retention.
The Game has no user accounts, so there is no account-deletion procedure.
7. Security
Saved games are stored in the Game’s private application storage, subject to Android’s access controls. Protecting access to your device also helps protect your saved information.
Exported backups are readable JSON text and are not encrypted by the Game. Keep them in a location you trust.
For information received through support, we use appropriate access controls and limit access to those who need it to handle the enquiry.
8. Children’s privacy
The Game does not require children or other players to submit personal information and does not automatically transmit personal information to us.
Parents or guardians who believe that a child has sent us personal information can contact us at wasdlabinfo@gmail.com to request its deletion, subject to applicable legal requirements.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict the processing of, or receive a portable copy of personal information we hold about you. You may also have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
To exercise these rights, contact wasdlabinfo@gmail.com. We will respond within the time limits required by applicable law. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Information about EU rights is available from the European Commission.
Because we do not receive your local saved-game data automatically, we cannot remotely access, recover, or delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the Game’s features or our information-handling practices change. Updates will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by applicable law.
